Session Descriptions

Restorative Justice/Behavior Management
By: Chris Olmstead
Wouldn’t it be something if we could compact classroom management into six simple steps? Wouldn’t it be even more impressive if those six simple steps could then shape and mold the behavior management and modification foundation of your entire campus? This training will teach you the world of behavior management and modification and the impact that it can have on your students both in and out of the classroom. This training will also tie the foundational principles of behavior management and modification into the power of restorative justice.

Cultural Diversity/Sensitivity

As the student population in our schools becomes increasingly diverse, many teachers need professional development to build cultural competencies-the skills and awareness related to issues such as culture, language, race, and ethnicity. To address this need, this presentation focuses on helping teachers make better connections with their students. This presentation includes tips, resources, and activities that are beneficial in the classroom, as well as the whole school.

Planning for Differentiation

CTM Process K-3

CTM Process 4-8

Are you a 4th-8th grade teacher tangled up in the CTM process? Well, let’s unwrap the CTM process together! We will take an in-depth look at the function of CTM and how to navigate the unwrapping of standards.

Classroom Management K-2

S.S. and Supporting SBAC

Leveraging EL student assets: WIDA Can-Do Descriptors
